BMW has released the new 3 Series Sedan. This sixth generation of the 3 Series is claimed as the world’s best-selling premium vehicle which accentuates the brand’s sporting character with its dynamic lines and athletic overall impression. The new 3 Series Sedan is available in three equipment lines: Sport Line, Luxury Line and Modern Line, in addition to the entry-level version.
The BMW 650i Convertible comes with a 4.4-liter V-8 engine which develops a maximum 400 hp between 5,500 and 6,400 rpm, and makes peak torque of 450 lb-ft between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm (preliminary). I don’t really have a clue but I have a standard air filter in my BMW at the moment, the rectangle filter, what would happen if it was really dirty and blocked?
Using my head I assume it would provide less air to the engine, what is better the rectangle filter or those cone filters, like pipercross or K&N?
- If your air filter is really dirty and/or blocked, you would get really bad fuel mileage, and your vehicle may even have a performance issue, Air is very important to your cars performance and fuel mileage.
K&N makes a very good filter, I believe they are lifetime filters, after so many miles you remove the filter and rinse it out and your back in business, yes the cost more but think about how much you would spend on paper filters over the lifetime of the car. Read more…
